This hand rail design developed from the client's need to safeguard forty-five feet of walkway. As it happened, a large corporation's wood shop was "dumping" a pallet of teak cuts and we were in the right place at the right time. Since the initial design concept was to construct the rail in one long continuous run, rather than joining various sections at the stanchions, the serendipitous finding of teak stock, dimensioned as we needed, seemed sent from Above.
